Services
Consultation
We meet in your garden to discuss ideas to make the best of your garden space.
Initial discussions with you and site visits will lead to a plan of action to be produced, completely bespoke to you. These consultations can be a one-off project, for you to then take my advice to then reproduce and implement yourself.
Garden Design
Every single garden I create is as unique as you; cliched as it is to say, but it’s true. Before any designing or planning begins, I invest my time in getting to know you, your ideas, vision and exactly what you want from a garden – the reason why you want my help.
My garden design services can be offered at different stages of development depending on what you are looking for. All services require me to carry out a site visit to understand the space you have, the land and any limitations that may need to be considered within the design. I always ask my clients to gather some visual examples of any ideas to help get a really clear picture of what it is you’re looking for. This can be from Pinterest, websites, magazines or your own drawings.
Concept Plan
Once all ideas have been gathered, a bespoke design for your concept will be produced. This will consist of a scaled plan of the garden and proposed layout, detailing all hard landscaping, any water features, seating or dining areas, garden structures as well as planting areas and loose planting ideas. I’ll provide you with 2 copies of the proposed scheme and will include a colour copy on request.
If you wish to budget for the garden to be completed in set stages rather than all at once, this is completely possible so please let me know.
Once you’re happy with the concept plan, I’ll arrange a second meeting to talk through any adjustments and to plan the next stage. At this point a quotation will be provided for the plan and agreed upon before any work starts, meaning you have no nasty surprises further down the line.
Landscaping
I’ve developed a trusting and loyal long-standing relationship with some incredible local landscape sole-traders and small teams. We have worked together for all of my own business journey and have worked to a consistently high quality, helping me turn your concept plans into reality.
Together, we can completely restructure the flow and dynamics of your garden, with raised areas, new lawns and borders. My landscapers can also assist with water features, seating and dining areas, patios, decking, greenhouses, sun-houses and any other sort of outdoor structure. If you would prefer to source your own landscapers, please let me know and I will happily work with them, leading the team in creating your new garden.
Planting design
My planting design service can follow a concept plan, or can be a one-off service on it’s own. It works perfectly for any size of land; a large expansive space with lawns and borders or any smaller areas you may be looking to refresh. After a site visit to survey your outdoor space, and a meeting to discuss the ideas and requirements you have for a new scheme, I will develop your new planting plan.
Your planting plan will outline plant varieties, numbers and spacing. It will take into consideration plant growth, scent, height, seasonality and colour ensuring your garden looks beautiful and full all year round. All planting design plans are provided with sourcing and selection of specific plants as required. As well as a schedule setting out the order of planting to best optimise your investment, and a schedule for maintenance.
I work with a few carefully selected premium quality nurseries to provide you with only the best possible plants, guaranteeing longevity and vitality. A quotation for a planting plan and to supply any planting material will be provided and agreed upon before any work begins. I can source: bedding plants, shrubs, perennials, herbs, flowering shrubs, espalier, specimen trees, specimen shrubs, climbers, aquatics, fruit trees, hedging, house plants, hanging baskets & pots, architectural plants, bamboo, grasses, ferns, bulbs, alpines and wild flowers, I’m happy to source anything for you!
Planting
This is generally the final stage of the garden redesign process. According to all plans already agreed upon, I will settle all new flowers and foliage into your transformed outdoor space. Using my expertise, they will be carefully placed and planted into your garden, and I will ensure they are well fed and watered to help them settle healthily into their new home.
I can source; bedding plants, shrubs, perennials, herbs, flowering shrubs, espalier, specimen trees, specimen shrubs, climbers, aquatics, fruit trees, hedging, house plants, hanging baskets & pots, architectural plants, bamboo, grasses, ferns, bulbs, alpines and wild flowers. If you have any specific ideas or requests, please let me know and I will endeavour to source it for you.
I can offer a one off planting service, should you wish to purchase your own plants, . This gives you the peace of mind a professional hand has welcomed and settled your new leafy habitants to the garden. Ideal for anyone who may have trouble handling the planting themselves.
Maintenance
Gardening doesn’t stop once the last plant has been put into place. After any landscaping and garden redesign service I can make an arrangement with you to assist with ongoing maintenance and upkeep. We can either arrange an annual maintenance schedule or arrange to visit you at set times throughout the year.
It’s a fantastic way to ensure your outdoor space is in safe hands and always looking its best.
Even if you haven’t had your garden design by me, I offer maintenance schedules to anyone looking for a hand to keep their garden in best condition. Again, this can be an annual schedule or visits arranged for particular times in the calendar. This is the perfect service for anyone who enjoys their garden but who may not have the time or ability to look after it’s upkeep.
My Environmental Pledge
